Sally Latham

CMF role - Industry Liaison

Sally is a lecturer in philosophy with over 20 years’ experience teaching A levels in Further Education. She is in her final year of a PhD in philosophy and mental health and is the recipient of the Royal Institute of Philosophy Jacobsen Studentship.

Sally has written for magazines and journals on topics in philosophy and education, including for Philosophy Now, Think, Philosophia and FE News. She regularly contributes to the Philosophy Gets Schooled podcast and makes zero-budget YouTube videos to help students grasp the subject. She is a contributor to Philosophy for Children (P4C) and produces resources for them, including on the philosophy of Harry Potter. She has NCTJ qualifications and a diploma in Education Writing.

Sally is an educational consultant for two children's philosophy TV shows currently in development. One of her passion-projects is to bring philosophy to children through TV in a way that is fun and engaging but also thought-provoking and challenging. She believes that children are natural philosophers and they need to feel that those big questions they are already asking are legitimate and important. Ultimately children need the time and space to think freely.

Sally is a certified Cosmic Kids yoga teacher and delivers yoga and mindfulness in primary schools, preschools and SEN settings. Most importantly she is a mum of two boys and lover of kids’ TV.
