CMF at CMC

At the risk of acronym overload, we bring you news that the Children’s Media Conference returns to Sheffield from 3rd to 5th July, with a packed programme of relevance not only to the industry but also to academics, regulators and policy people.

DSC_0617Children’s Media Foundation Patrons can access a special discounted registration rate for the CMC. It’s £80 off the full price, which makes the £100 patron’s donation very good value indeed!

The offer is open now, so why not sign up as a patron, to get an exclusive discount code for the Conference, PLUS a free copy of the Children's Media Yearbook.

How do they do it, I hear you ask….

The full CMC conference programme will be published very soon on their website.

With over 50 conference sessions, specially designed workshops and a new international market day on July 3rd, the CMC is a fixed point for most people who work in the children's media industries.

The CMF has taken advantage of the 800+ practitioners, academics and decision-makers in one place at one time, to support its first industry debate at the Conference on the 4th July:

What's Good? Trust & Quality In A Digital World,

This session will ask whether the new content aggregators and providers such as online video sites and mobile games providers are prepared to take responsibility for the children in their audiences when it comes to appropriate content, payment systems and other issues which parents are finding all too worrying as the power and influence of these new services grows.

Plans are under way for more events on research and policy matters, in various parts of the country, later in the year. If you’d like to get involved - let us know.
