Event – “Transnational Children’s TV and Audiences”
The CMF is contributing to the debate on the globalisation of children’s television.

Academic and industry speakers from Australia, the Arab world, Hungary, Denmark, Indonesia, Japan and the UK will consider case studies that suggest globalisation is not the only story in the current transnational television ecology. Although there are clear regional differences in the development of services for young audiences by public service, former state, and the global commercial media institutions.

- Children’s Experiences of Digital Media: Breakthroughs and Setbacks
- Developments in Children’s Content Production in a Globalising and Converging Media Environment
The event is organised by the Arab Media Centre at CAMRI, University of Westminster, in association with Deakin University, Australia, with support from the Arts & Humanities Research Council, Australian Research Council and international media organisations.
CMF Board member, Prof. Máire Messenger-Davies, and CMF Director, Greg Childs, will be moderating sessions at the symposium.
