The CMF Yearbook – Making it Happen
By Terri Langan, Yearbook Editor
All of the articles are now in and the Yearbook goes to press in time for CMC
The theme of the Children's Media Conference this year is 'Making It Happen'. The Yearbook picks this up, and for the first time reflects much of the content planned for the CMC. So if you've ever struggled for inspiration, then the new 'Making It Happen' section in the book could be the motivation you need. You can find out how YouTube phenomenon Little Baby Bum went on to garner billions of views and viewers ; how the Toy Like Me campaign took on the toy industry; how BAFTA-nominated indie Pretzel TV brought the Radio 1 chart show to CBBC; and how an award winning CBeebies producer took the leap to set up a Children's indie in the North West.
There are many more of these stories, including a wonderfully personal piece on the importance of diversity in kids' media by Sir Lenny Henry.
The Yearbook launches on July 5th at the Children's Media Conference in Sheffield. Printed copies will be on sale there at a price of only £10. You can also download a digital copy from our website for £7.95 - from July 1st.
