Learning In The Digital Age

Despite concerns about kids' online activity, there's little doubt that digital engagement benefits learning.  As children prepare to return to school next month, the London School of Economics blog Parenting For A Digital Future discusses the advantages of digital resources, particularly for those with disabilities or impairments.

How do teenagers with visual impairments use digital technologies to negotiate the world?  A study of children aged 13-17 explored how young people with visual impairments are using digital technologies to overcome barriers to learning, integrate themselves in the classroom and strengthen their social ties.
