CMF Welcomes Wincie Knight

The Children's Media Foundation is delighted to welcome Wincie Knight, Vice President of Global Inclusion Strategies at ViacomCBS Networks International (VCNI), Europe, Middle East and Africa, as our new Board member.


Wincie is responsible for leading VCNI's diversity and inclusion strategy in Britain, Europe, Israel, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. She reports to Marva Smalls, ViacomCBS’ executive vice president of global inclusion and public affairs Executive Vice President for kids and family brands.

Wincie is a passionate advocate for championing a company culture centred on belonging. She has been at Viacom since 1999 and joined the office of global inclusion team in 2014 as senior director of global inclusion strategy. She spearheaded Viacom UK’s first Inclusion Week in 2018, which has since expanded to ViacomCBS offices in more than 30 countries.

Her promotion to Vice President of Global Inclusion Strategies in October 2020 followed ViacomCBS UK announcement of a new “no diversity, no commission” policy for all of its UK partners. This policy was rolled out to the entire company, requiring all new international productions to be made by a diverse team. The intent is to increase representation behind the camera to ensure that a variety of balanced, diverse voices are involved in all aspects of production.

Wincie played a key role in commissioning a Caerus Executive report to examine the experiences of Black, Asian, minority, and ethnic employees at Viacom UK, while she also oversaw a staff-led mental health initiative. She was recognized as a 2020 British LGBT+ Awards Top 10 Corporate Allyand was named a BAME Workplace Hero by the 2018 Investing in Ethnicity Awards.
