Dr Claire Essex

Claire Essex BSc. MSc. PhD. is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Creative Computing Institute, University of Arts London. She completed her PhD at the Centre for Brain and Cognitive Development, Birkbeck investigating the immediate effects of TV viewing on young children’s attention and executive function skills. Her work employs neuro-developmental methods (EEG, Eye-Tracking, Developmental Assessments) to answer questions pertaining to screen media’s influence on emerging cognitive skills.
