CMF is producing a session at the Children’s Global Media Summit in Manchester
“Taking Stock” offers the insights of 5 industry practitioners and kids media “watchers” from 5 different continents – each giving their view own how the media made for children in their region meets the goals of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
To what extent is media empowering kids, reflecting a shared humanity, inspiring them, including them and encouraging inclusivity, helping them to care, to understand and to engage?
With a grand overview for each continent, and a personal favourite case-study for each contributor, this session promises to be a fascinating journey through the question “just what is children’s media for – in all parts of our global media family?”
This session is only open to registered delegates for the Children’s Global Media Summit.
It represent the CMF’s contribution to the thought leadership espoused by the Children’s Media Summit movement which began with the first ever summit in Melbourne in 1995, continued in London in 1998 (Chaired by our own Board Chair – Anna Home O.B.E.) and has continued approximately every three years since. The Manchester Summit is the 8th in the series.
