Charter Renewal: The Great British Sell-Off?  is the provocative title of this year’s CMF-spsonsored policy discussion at the Children’s Media Conference in Sheffield.  CMF are producing a debate in which a panel of interested participants will discuss whether the BBC should and could be prepared to commit more fully in the long term to the children’s audience and guarantee increased budgets, as the Licence Fee and Charter come under public scrutiny over the next 18 months.

Video or Audio Podcast of the full session available here.

The Children’s Media Conference (CMC) is the premier gathering for media professionals concerned with kids in the UK.  Over 1000 delegates from every sector, including film, TV, interactive, publishing and the culture and educational media sectors participate in a series of discussions around the creative, business, strategic and policy issues in kids’ content provision.

The CMC is an industry event and the Children’s Media Foundation cannot offer free tickets to Supporters and Patrons for the Charter Renewal session.  Supporters and Patrons of the CMF can benefit from a 25% discount on their CMC registration charges.  Please contact to obtain a discount code.
