A CMF public meeting to consider the next steps to ensure UK kids get maximum benefit from two new initiatives:
  • The Young Audiences’ Content Fund
  • Ofcom’s new powers to require Public Service Broadcasters to do more for kids and teens.
The event starts at 6.30pm and closes at 8pm with a drinks reception until 9pm.
Having campaigned vigorously for the Young Audiences Content Fund, and for Ofcom to have new powers of regulation for more commitment to children’s content at the Commercial Public Service Broadcasters, CMF is hosting another of its annual events designed to push forward progress on both these initiatives. The event will also give CMF supporters and other interested parties the opportunity to quiz the participating institutions and broadcasters on their intentions and plans.
At this event you can:
  • Find out progress on applications to the Young Audiences Content Fund.
  • Comment on the criteria for selection.
  • Discover the extent to which commercial match-funding is being offered.
  • Consider the broadcasters responses to Ofcom’s request for new proposals for future engagement with the children’s and youth audience – and discuss how Ofcom should respond.
  • Assess whether the new opportnities are coming together to stimulate a new era of commissioned content.
  • Have your say on the future of children’s content in the UK.
