GuestSo many important points in this article. And what a tragedy that Newsround, the long-running children’s news programme on the BBC, had its hours cut with the permission of Ofcom, just as the pandemic was about to hit. The country was full of traumatised children, cut off from their schools and friends, stuck at home with anxious, over-burdened parents. The daily news conference held by the PM and the medical advisers should have had a Newsround reporter present at every one, with a special question on behalf of the country’s children. And the show should have been put back on BBC1. I don’t know why this did not happen. I still think it could.
