GuestI found this article thought-provoking and really interesting (naturally, I agreed with every word). In particular the view that there is room for long-running contemporary drama for the “Grange Hill”age-range of 8-16. Is there a thirst among today’s programme-makers and writers to set a story similar to Zammo (how great to be part of something that helped society view drug abuse as a social consequence rather than criminal delinquency)? As Phil Redmund says, imagine the possibilities of such a drama plugged into the Twittersphere. I’d love to hear the views of programme-makers/writers and (even more importantly) viewers (both of those young in years and young at heart).

Guest“Public health, clean water, policing, fire and rescue were not the result of market failure, but clearly needed social interventions. Is not a safe, well-curated and trusted space for children’s media content equally important?”
I think this could be the most pertinent summary of a trusted space for children’s media content. Discuss!
