Oliver Hyatt MBE

Oliver Hyatt  MBE is a leading figure in the UK’s children’s media landscape, celebrated for his passion, innovation, and commitment to quality storytelling. As the Managing Director and co-founder of Blue Zoo Productions, he has helped grow the company into one of the UK’s most prolific independent creators of children’s animation, earning multiple RTS Awards, BAAs, Promax trophies, the BAFTA Production Company of the Year title and in 2025 a BAFTA Lifetime Achievement Award.

Born and raised in the UK, Oliver has made a profound impact on the broadcast and creative industries. In recognition of his contributions, he was awarded the MBE in 2014 for services to children’s television . He is widely regarded as an influential thought‑leader, once being included among the 100 most influential people in London.

He is also a sought‑after commentator on public broadcasting policy, advocating for stronger funding and protection of children’s programming, including at BBC Charter renewal hearings.

He is a keen Hockey Player, Coach, and a strong advocate for neurodivergent thinking, and despite being Dyslexic, he is now working on his 3rd Novel.
