Brian Cosgrove O.B.E., with his later partner Mark Hall, formed the highly successful Cosgrove Hall Animation Companies.

He is a designer, animator, painter, sculptor, writer and filmmaker. During its long and fruitful production period Cosgrove Hall Animation collected six BAFTA awards, three International Emmys, a Prix Jeunesse and six Royal Television Society Awards, two for lifetime achievement for their shows.

Among their many productions, Dangermouse, Count Duckula, The Wind in the Willows, The Pied Piper of Hamelyn and a feature length version of Roald Dahl’s The BFG provided entertainment for generations of children.

Brian has been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by BAFTA.  He has Honorary Doctorates from Manchester Municipal College of Art and Chester University and was awarded the O.B.E. in the Queen's Birthday honours list in June 2018.
