Brian Jameson runs the Scottish Independent production company, Tattiemoon.

Actor, Writer, Director, Producer and Company Director, Brian wrote his first script for the BBC fifty years ago. As an actor he graduated from RADA and joined Olivier’s National Theatre where he played juvenile leads. He continued in theatre, television and film for twenty years, including playing Brian Epstein in the cult film Birth of the Beatles.

Brian was a regular face on BBC comedy shows in the 80’s and was also a Play School presenter. At Play School he was offered the opportunity to train as a director and subsequently joined Cynthia Felgate’s production team to set up Playdays.  Since then he has been responsible for producing hundreds of hours of Children’s Television, over a thousand scripts and, as a lyricist, over a hundred songs, including ‘What’s the story in Balamory’.  His most notable creations have been Balamory for which he won a BAFTA, Me Too, and more recently Woolly and Tig.

As a Lifetime Patron of the Children's Media Foundation, Brian represents the many presenters, performers, writers, directors and producers who have dedicated their working lives to making content for young children.  The CMF aims to support them in their best endeavours to entertain and educate the youngest in the audience
